Yal Solan
Yal Solan is a Lebanese singer-songwriter whose music and poetry traverse the spiritual and the political.
In a senseless modern world that often distances us from the heart of who we are, Yal creates music as a means ofresensualising: cultivating a language for the inner world that speaks to a conscious generation.
Beyond her work on stages, screens and in studios, Yal is a graphic designer and 2D animator with over 10 years ofexperience in visual storytelling, dedicating her craft to NGO advocacy campaigns around sustainability, women’s rights and ecofeminism.
Her activism through art extends into the realm of plant-based living. Yal is the co-founder of Alternative Kitchen, a SWANA-based directory for wellbeing, environmental care, and animal protection through veganism.
Yal is also a somatic workshop facilitator and the creator of BodyVerses, a series of multidisciplinary embodimentexperiences exploring our relationship to the body through voice, yoga, fascia work and movement.
Across her artistic and activist practices, Yal is driven by a deep desire to reconnect people with their bodies, their inner worlds, and their capacity for compassion.
