Sami Creta
Sami Creta earned his bachelor’s degree in fine arts in 2008. He continued his academic pursuits by obtaining a master’s degree specialized in Cultural Management from Sophia University Institute in Italy in 2014.
Since 2014 he assumed the role of programme manager at the Jesuit cultural centre in Alexandria. In 2019, Creta was selected to participate in the International Visitor Leadership Programme (IVLP) in the USA. In 2022, he was honoured with the title of Chevalier (Knight) of the order of arts and letters by the French ministry of culture. In 2023, he furthered his expertise by completing the Arts Management course offered by the Devos institute by the university of Maryland in collaboration with the US embassy in Cairo.
Since May 2023, Creta has relocated to Cairo to serve as an arts project manager at the British Council, and from 2025 he is leading the creative economy programme.
