Konstantinos Dimitriadis

Konstantinos Dimitriadis is Professor of Neurocritical Care at Ludwig Maximilians University (LMU) Munich and Professor of Critical Care Medicine at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens (ΕΚΠΑ). His work lies at the intersection of neuroscience, intensive care, medical ethics and education, with a particular interest in consciousness, nutrition, clinical and economic decision-making as well as evidence-based educational concepts.

Alongside his clinical and scientific career, he has been deeply engaged in rethinking medical education, mentoring and healthcare leadership, developing interdisciplinary educational initiatives and receiving several awards for innovation in teaching. Since 2017, he has also contributed to the development of the World Human Forum, reflecting his wider interest in connecting medicine and science with culture and ethics.

As a dedicated marathon runner, he also has a personal interest in the relationship between physical activity, brain health and resilience, experiencing endurance sport as a meeting point between body, mind and well-being.
