Ivy Nanopoulou
Ivy Nanopoulou, born in Alexandria, Egypt, graduated from the Ecole Spéciale d’Architecture in Paris before joining TPA in 1978 as an associate and later becoming a partner in 1987. In 1999, she assumed the role of Managing Partner, dedicating herself to strengthening the firm’s social mission, fostering diversity and multidisciplinary collaboration, and ensuring cohesion among its human resources while driving continuous innovation and adaptation in a changing environment.
Over the course of her career at TPA, she has accumulated extensive experience across a wide range of projects, including architectural studies and supervision of public and private buildings such as sports facilities, hotels, banks, offices, and residences, as well as large-scale master plans and urban planning initiatives.
With planning emerging as a major focus of TPA in recent years, she has developed deep expertise both as a designer—capable of addressing complex technical challenges and engaging with international developments—and as a project manager, skilled in coordinating the intricate processes of study and implementation.
Among the notable projects she has overseen are the metropolitan-scale restoration of Faleron Bay, the regeneration of the Drapetsona Industrial District, and the master plan for a new Technopolis on the outskirts of Athens.
