Georgios Priniotakis

George Priniotakis is a Professor at the University of West Attica and President of the Department of Industrial Design and Production Engineering at the School of Engineering. He directs the University Laboratory of Innovative Textile Technologies for Multifunctional Garments at the same university (sapke.uniwa.gr). He holds a PhD in multifunctional garment and textile materials technologies since 2005.

In 2025, he was elected Vice President of the Association of Universities for Textiles (AUTEX.org), the global federation of universities specialising in textiles. He also represents the university at the International Apparel Federation (IAF).

He is a former National Representative of Greece in committees and councils of the European Research Area (ERA) and in collaborations with intergovernmental organisations in the field of embedded systems. He serves as a reviewer for several scientific journals and is a member of the scientific committee of various conferences.
