Anna Nempavlaki
Anna Nempavlaki is an educator, author, and Special Advisor to the Mayor of Chania for Education. She is responsible for the educational programmes of the Municipal Art Gallery of Chania, designing initiatives that connect contemporary art with education and social issues. She is also the initiator and coordinator of “Move it Now – Let’s Move Now,” a participatory educational initiative of the Municipality of Chania promoting sustainable mobility and community engagement.
She holds a Master’s degree in Critical Pedagogy, with a particular interest in experiential learning and art as a tool for education, expression, and dialogue. She is the author of “Ftou kai Vgaino: 8 Hideaways to Build Self-Esteem, Find Yourself and Play with Others” (Kaleidoscope Publications) and educational publications developed for exhibitions at the Municipal Art Gallery of Chania: “When Thoughts Become Sketches, Words and Images,” for Alexandros Psychoulis’ “I Was Only Endangered by Uncontrolled Thoughts”; “Multiple Perspectives in Times of Uncertainty,” for “Lydia Dambassina – Red Line”; “Odds and Evens: Talking about Values through Art,” for “Paths in Art: Works from the Bank of Greece Collection”; and “Feminine Gender,” for “Nelly’s – Krasakis Collection.”
