Christina Kefalogianni

Christina Kefalogianni was born in 1976 in Athens. She graduated with honours from Athens College and continued her studies in Greece and the United Kingdom.

She earned her degree from the Department of Political Science and Public Administration at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, specialising in Public Administration.

She pursued her postgraduate studies at City, University of London, in Investment Management (MSc Investment Management), and completed a dissertation on derivatives in the Greek Stock Market. At a later stage, she was certified as a market maker by the Hellenic Capital Market Commission.

During her undergraduate studies at the University of Athens, she worked in the Human Resources Department of Piraeus Bank.

After completing her postgraduate studies and returning to Greece in 2001, she worked for four years as an executive in the Risk Management Department of Piraeus Bank.

From 2011 to 2019, she was actively involved in the hotel industry. As President and Chief Executive Officer, she oversaw the renovation and operation of a large hotel complex with a capacity of 1,000 guests.

In 2004, she began her active engagement in politics as a scientific adviser to aMember of Parliament.

In the elections of 8 October 2023, she was elected first in votes as Regional Councillor for the Central Sector of Athens with the political alliance “ATTICA FORWARD – Nikos Hardalias.”

On 1 January 2024, she was appointed and has since served as Deputy Regional Governor. In December 2024, she was appointed Chair of the Regional Equality Committee.

She speaks English, French, and Spanish.

She is the mother of four children: Anastasia, Giannis, Andreas, and Eleni.
