Kalliopi Papangeli
Kalliopi Papangeli’s scholarly work includes not only a monograph on the archaeological site and museum of Eleusis, but also numerous publications in academic journals and collective volumes. These focus on Eleusis, the Sacred Way, and the findings of the many excavations she has conducted in the city of Eleusis and the wider region, as well as on other monuments in West Attica, such as the fortress of Eleutherai.
She was co-curator of the exhibition Eleusis: The Great Mysteries at the Acropolis Museum (2018) and curator of archaeological exhibitions held at the Eleusis Municipal Cultural Centre in 2008 and 2011, for which she also authored the catalogue texts.
Additionally, she prepared the museological study for the redevelopment of the Archaeological Museum of Eleusis.
She has served as a regular member on interdisciplinary committees, such as the Scientific Committee for the Conservation of the Temple of Apollo Epikourios and the committee that developed the study for the unification and enhancement of archaeological sites and monuments in Eleusis, incorporating elements of urban regeneration.
