Gina Belafonte

Gina Belafonte is an award-winning producer, entertainment executive, and impact strategist whose work bridges filmmaking and social change. As President and CEO of Sankofa.org, she develops films, documentaries, immersive experiences, and public engagement campaigns that use storytelling as a catalyst for civic action. Belafonte was the lead producer of the acclaimed HBO documentary Sing Your Song, which opened the Sundance Film Festival, and has executive produced projects spanning documentary, narrative, and immersive media. A founding leader of The Gathering for Justice, she has spent more than two decades building collaborations between filmmakers, artists, activists, and community organizations to address issues including criminal justice reform, democracy, and cultural equity.
